    MorelandConnect partnered with Dix & Eaton and Sotera Health to design, build, and launch a client portal for Nelson Labs. The new portal allows customers to upload a variety of test submissions, request quotes, and pay invoices online—replacing manual, paper-based workflows with a single, secure interface integrated into their WordPress site.

    By consolidating sample intake, quoting, and billing into one system, Nelson Labs can better serve its medical device, pharma, tissue, and food-safety clients while ensuring data integrity, auditability, and a seamless user experience.

  • Disparate submission channels forced clients and staff to juggle email, paper forms, and spreadsheets.
  • Portal needed to integrate with a new WordPress site, support four distinct test-type forms, secure payment processing, and meet Sotera’s strict audit and security standards—all on an eight-week timeline.

    We implemented a modular, WordPress-integrated portal that routes four specialized sample-submission forms (Standard, Radiation, Ethylene Oxide, BioComp), a quote request form, and an Authorize.net-powered billing form into a unified backend. Every submission triggers automated email reports to designated lab teams, and the Test Lookup widget lets clients track their samples in real time.

    Built on Azure with SQL Server, the portal underwent system, integration, and user-acceptance testing before an on-time go-live. Clear UX patterns and intuitive form logic ensure clients can complete complex requests without confusion, while administrators gain a single dashboard to monitor and manage all activity.
