Brookfield Properties relied on an outdated MS Access database to store its complex ownership hierarchy and generate “waterfall” payment instructions in Excel. That manual process was error-prone, difficult to maintain, and exposed the finance team to compliance risk under Canadian banking regulations. To modernize operations, we built a secure, cloud-hosted web portal that replicates the legacy template output exactly as before—while adding real-time task tracking, role-based security, and a streamlined user experience.

We designed and deployed a centralized web portal that lets Brookfield Properties maintain ownership structures, trigger waterfall payment batches on demand, and export FIS Integrity–compatible Excel templates without altering downstream systems. Built with ASP.NET Core and ReactJS, the application integrates OKTA single sign-on for secure access, features intuitive data-entry forms, and runs on Azure for scalability. An Agile delivery model ensured rapid iteration and close collaboration with Brookfield’s finance and IT teams.
