    Ekso Bionics develops exoskeleton solutions that amplify human strength, endurance, and mobility. To extend their Indego platform into the consumer market, Ekso engaged MorelandConnect to reimagine and rebuild the existing Indego application. Our mission was to retain core device controls while simplifying the user experience, improving offline responsiveness, and delivering native-grade performance on both Android and iOS.

  • The legacy app relied heavily on cloud API calls, resulting in slow load times, especially in low-connectivity environments.
  • UI inconsistencies and outdated navigation patterns created a steep learning curve for new users across different devices.

    Our Solution

    We partnered closely with Ekso’s product and engineering teams, running discovery workshops and device demos to map every user interaction. On the technical side, we re-architected the app for local-first operation—caching critical data and optimizing BLE pairing—while building a unified React Native codebase for seamless Android and iOS support.
