Project Overview
AI-enhanced route inspection using a 360 camera to detect vacant or distressed properties, and auto-log vehicle-based field observations. Safeguard Properties Management needed to streamline high-volume drive-by inspections. Inspectors were manually starting/stopping video, juggling paper forms, and battling spotty coverage—leading to inconsistent data and delayed uploads. We delivered Route Mode, an extension to Safeguard’s mobile app that automates 360° capture, prompts quick occupancy checks, and syncs geo-tagged footage for review.

Our Solution
We embedded a Route Mode toggle into the app that uses configurable geofences to auto-start/stop 360° recording at each property. After each clip, the app prompts for Occupancy Status and Method of Determination, then queues videos for upload. When cellular bandwidth is limited, footage is cached locally and deferred until Wi‑Fi is available. Integration with the Insta360 X5 SDK ensures reliable, high-quality capture aligned to each geofence.
